Mrs L.K. Adeosun

The School, St. Lawrence International School was established on 28th of September 1992.The school was named after Late Pa Lawrence Adebayo, father of the founder, Mrs L.K. Adeosun.

The Journey So Far
When the founder relocated to Ajasa community, she looked around only to discover that there were no private schools in the environ. Because of her love and passion she had for, she started the school (St. Lawrence Internation School) in a Four(4) bedroom flat (Mr. Folarin's house) at Command Secondary School road. THe school started with three(3) children and herself as the only teacher for the first week of operation. By the second week there were five pupils and a female teacher joined as well. By and large the number of students increased as well as their performance, despite the poor payment of school fees which as N200.

By October 2003, there were problems with the owner of the rented apartment being used for by the school. The experience was so tough that the then Ajasa monarch, Late Oba Bello David Ajasa had to intervene severally, but all to no avail. The words of encouragement and blessings from the late monarch, and the efforts of Mr and Late Mrs Olasehinde made the school to be on the current land it is located till date. The land was bought from Mrs Owolabi (Madam Toyin) in 1994. Payment was made in installments and completed in 2012, to the glory of God.

In December 1995, the owner of the second apartment, came up with problems, requesting Two years advance payment which the founder couldn't raise. The the founder had a thought to erect few classrooms, and then the foundation the current building was laid on 12th February 1996. The school moved in on 29th March 1996, although the classrooms were attached to the wall.

The school participated in a number of competitions, emerging 1st overall in Lagos State in one of them. The school also won several awards at LAPPSSDA

Despite emergence of new schools in the locality, parents stood by the founder steadfastly, making it like the case of the Israelites in the bible that were crossing the sea and egyptians puched them at the back, but the God of Isreal came to the rescue as He had done in the days of old

Due to the classrooms being attached to the fence, the Lagos State Ministry Of Education rejected approval in 1999. Changes had to be made, this was done gradually. The new structure which had 12 classrooms was completed in 2000.

In 200, the demand for secondary school prompted the beginning of tutorial classes in 2012 and 2013. The secondary school "ST. LAWRENCE GREATER HEIGHTS COLLEGE" started fully at Shittu Debo Crescent with only one(1) student which later increased to three(3). With the focus on imparting moral, discipline and academic excellence in students.

Besides academic activities, the schools also involved children in extra-curricular activities. THe first inter-house sports was held in 1998 up till 2015

In July 2004, the landlord of the rented building used by the school issued a quit notice, as he wanted to sell the house. Then plans were made to build grould floor of building which is being used by the college till date. At the completion of the building, it was assessed and approved by the Lagos State Government for WAEC & NECO.

In july 2016, the old primary school building was demolished and a tow-storey building was errected, with the cooperation of parents/guardians payin promptly and donations from past pupils and well-wishers

In addition to our academic achievements, the institution the school produced , in 2010, 'A Day Governor' in person of Oluwatoyin Adeosun.
